The objective of this study is to provide relevant information on the situation of the ICT industry in Latin America, based on the systematic comparison of data available in 8 countries, considering the main dimensions of analysis:
- Invoicing
- Exports
- Employment
- Access to and use of technologies
For its elaboration, this study extracted updated information from various publications and official national and international data sources. In addition, the various member organisations of the Federation of Latin American, Caribbean, Spanish and Portuguese Associations of Information and Communication Technology Entities (ALETI) were contacted through a survey that collected available data on each country.
The countries included in this report because they have updated information are: Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Venezuela.
