Taking into account the relevance of the results obtained and the good reception of both the instrument and its findings, the practice of a "Monitor of the situation of the IT industry in Uruguay" was standardized, as a continuous product of the IT Observatory, to be updated on a quarterly basis, which relays the impacts of the pandemic on companies in the IT industry, some forecasts and expectations for the near future, the main measures implemented by the industry to address the situation, and the recommendations and suggestions for public policy emanating from the sector.

Due to the exceptional situation caused by the arrival in Uruguay of the global pandemic of the new coronavirus COVID-19, the IT Observatory began to develop a survey to monitor the state of the situation aimed at the business sector of the ICT industry.
