The focus group is a social research methodology designed to obtain information on an area of interest. It consists of a small number of people with certain common characteristics, who discuss a suggested topic, producing a group discourse emanating from the exchange, in which participants expose their points of view and diversity of positions, providing qualitative data of subjective validity, based on their perceptions and ways of thinking.
The group of Cuti's IT partner companies was called, with the objective of forming diverse and at the same time limited groups to take advantage of the potential of the tool, with the participation of 9 people representing the industry in this instance.
The activity was organized in three stages: - Description of the situation and the problem; - Discussion in two groups based on the established guideline of questions; - Sharing and joint reflection.
For the group discussion, 3 themes were proposed to be analysed by the participants in a transversal way, in two parallel working groups:
- The particularities of telecommuting
- The challenges of IT security
- The containment of people
